Abstracts

New this year, abstracts were accepted for both the SITC 28th Annual Meeting and the Workshop on Personalized Cancer Immunotherapy. SITC also offered a late-breaking abstract submission period where a particular emphasis was placed on up-to-date clinical trial results or novel basic tumor immunology data.

Abstract submission was free to members and non-members alike, so all were encouraged to submit. Guidelines and requirements differed for each abstract submission period.

Late-Breaking Annual Meeting Abstracts

Beginning Monday, August 12, SITC SITC begin accepting Late-Breaking Annual Meeting abstracts for those who had late-breaking, original research that they wanted to present at a top scientific venue.

Submission period August 12 – 26, 2013

• Opportunity for oral abstract presentations
• Accepted abstracts will be printed in SITC 2013 Final Program
• Emphasis on up-to-date clinical trial results or novel basic tumor immunology data.
• All accepted abstracts were published in the Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer, SITC's Official Journal

SITC Workshop on Personalized Cancer Immunotherapy Abstracts Highlights

Submission period July 22 – August 26, 2013

• Eligibility for oral abstract presentations during Workshop
• Accepted abstracts were printed in Workshop Syllabus available here
• Emphasis placed on new, exciting data in the field

SITC 28th Annual Meeting Abstracts Highlights

Submission period: May 29 - July 15, 2013

• Young Investigator Travel Awards offered in conjunction with abstract submission
• Opportunity for oral abstract presentations
• Poster only abstract categories also available
• All accepted abstracts were published in the Journal for ImmunoTherapy of Cancer, SITC's Official Journal at: www.immunotherapyofcancer.org/supplements/1/S1/all.
