The Angiogenesis Workshop was organized by the Society for Biological Therapy (now iSBTc) and Co-Sponsored by the Vascular Biology Faculty of the National Cancer Institute, NIH. This exciting workshop assembled both national and international leaders in the field from academia, industry, and government. The ultimate goal of this meeting was to establish Society for Biological Therapy and Vascular Biology Faculty of the NCI joint guidelines for Angiogenesis Monitoring of cancer for publication in a leading cancer journal in early 2003. During the workshop, participants attended the sessions and actively participated in the Panel Discussion at the end of the day which was the basis of the guidelines. Advice from the participants was invaluable in making certain these guidelines incorporated a broad range of views.
