The half-day Mini-Symposium on Biologic Effects of Targeted Therapeutics held on Thursday, October 26 brought together a distinguished faculty of clinical investigators and basic scientists. They successfully addressed the current state of knowledge of the field and raised the consciousness about these issues that critically impact investigation and clinical use of targeted therapeutics both alone and in combination. The Mini-Symposium provided a chance for colleagues from different disciplines to discuss and shape future investigations and initiate and/or continue fruitful collaborations. The intended end product of this effort will be a future publication describing the current situation and a roadmap for how research in this field should proceed.
