iSBTc held its highly successful 21st Annual Meeting and Associated Programs in Los Angeles, California from October 26 - 29, 2006. Over 400 registered clinicians, scientists, and researchers combined to make this one of the most exciting Annual Meetings to date. Beginning with a strong lectureship on "Therapeutic Vaccination for Lymphoid Malignancy" by our 2006 Richard V. Smalley, MD Memorial Award winner, Dr. Ronald Levy of the Stanford University School of Medicine, the 21st Annual Meeting continued to deliver informative talks through the duration of the Meeting. Another highlight of the Annual Meeting was Saturday's keynote address "Lymphocyte Co-Signal Molecules in Cancer Immunotherapy" delivered by Dr. Lieping Chen of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. This year's Annual Meeting featured stimulating presentations from 20 invited speakers. Combined with over 130 abstract posters available for viewing, there were also 29 oral abstract presenters on hand to present their current work in biological therapies and cancer immunology. As always, iSBTc delivered intimate and meaningful networking opportunities unique to our organization for all attendees. The iSBTc 21st Annual Meeting provided the "perfect mix" of science and socialization that will help achieve our mission of improving cancer patient outcomes by advancing the development and application of biological therapy.
