Program Purpose
This symposium provided an educational environment focused on improving the outcome for patients with cancer by incorporating strategies based on cancer immunotherapy. With leading authorities in tumor immunology and cancer immunotherapy, as well as oral abstract and poster presenters, this program described the latest research advances, focused on currently approved and emerging tumor immunotherapy approaches, provided highlights on SITC initiatives and projects, and offered updates on international initiatives, including the Immunoscore.
Intended Audience
The target audience for this program was basic and clinical investigators from academic institutions, industry and regulatory agencies, including clinicians, basic and translational researchers, graduate students, postdoctoral fellows, and allied health professionals involved in cancer research that wish to learn more about advances in cancer immunology and immunotherapy.

Program Goals
Updates on Immunotherapy of Cancer and Immunoscore provided the opportunity to:
- Contrast the efficacy and adaptability of distinct immunotherapeutic strategies and pursue opportunities for integrating them
- Identify global cancer immunotherapy initiatives and assess their impact on and growth in local practice
- Investigate how to integrate immunotherapeutic approaches for cancer treatment into current conventional regimens to increase clinical benefit
- Share data and ideas on the most recent preclinical and clinical advances in tumor immunology and cancer immunotherapy
