In conjunction with the Annual Meeting, the sitc is also holding two concurrent programs, the Primer on Tumor Immunology and Biological Therapy and the Cancer Vaccine Clinical Trials Workshop, on Thursday, November 10. The Primer is a general education program featuring a series of basic science, industry and clinical presentations related to the biological therapy of cancer. The Workshop is a one-day event organized by the Cancer Vaccine Clinical Trials Working Group (CVCTWG), a joint initiative of the Cancer Vaccine Cosortium (CVC) of the Sabin Vaccine Institute and sitc with the purpose of helping move cancer vaccines through the clinical development process more efficiently and expeditiously, accelerating their development and general patient access.
On Saturday, November 12, the sitc will announce its Presidential Award winner. The Presidential Award is presented to the author of the year's best abstract submitted by students, post doctoral fellows-in-training or Junior Faculty with three or less years on staff.
