Happy Holidays from SITC!
Thank you to all who made 2013 a great year for SITC and the field of cancer immunotherapy! This was a record year for SITC, as the Society broke new Annual Meeting & Associated Programs records for attendance, total abstracts submitted, meeting exhibitors, and total sponsorships.
As you can see in the photos below, it was a very busy year for SITC, as the Society was part of 16 educational programs in 2013. SITC would like to thank all the program organizers and faculty, volunteer leaders, Society members, and all those who dedicated their time and expertise. We look forward to expanding both SITC and the field of cancer immunotherapy in 2014!

Ending the Year with a Bang!
Cancer Immunotherapy Named Science Breakthrough of 2013!

The editors of the journal Science have named cancer immunotherapy the 2013 Breakthrough of the Year! This topped a list of 10 major scientific advancements occurring in 2013 – ranging from transparent brains to exploding stars.
For three decades, SITC has led the field as the only member-driven society specifically dedicated to advancing the science and application of cancer immunotherapy. SITC members around the word have been the luminaries in the field and will continue to shepherd the science forward in 2014 and beyond. Their dedication and work will help make cancer immunotherapy a fourth standard of care and the word "cure" a reality.
