Dear Colleagues,
The field of cancer research is thriving! New technologies are being implemented, treatment regimens are improving, drugs are being developed and immunotherapy is at the forefront of it all. This growth and progress in the field is clearly reflected in the record breaking number of abstracts submitted for the SITC 28th Annual Meeting. A total of 267 scientific abstracts were submitted, surpassing last year’s numbers by 23%. As a testament to SITC’s global reach, abstracts were submitted from 19 different countries. The high quality and the diversity of research displayed in this year’s submissions are an indication of the exciting advances currently taking place in the field and the ground breaking science you’ll see at the 2013 SITC Annual Meeting & Associated Programs to be held November 7-10.
In addition, SITC is also now accepting abstracts for the Workshop on Personalized Cancer Immunotherapy set to take place on Thursday, November 7, 2013. Both SITC members and nonmembers are encouraged to submit an abstract FREE of cost to be considered for one of the oral presentation slots during the program. Abstracts should focus on new, exciting data and provide solutions, or potential solutions, to important issues faced in the field of cancer immunotherapy today. Don’t miss this opportunity to share your research with the most influential scientists in the field. Submit your abstract today! For more information on SITC 2013, or to submit an abstract for the Workshop, please visit the SITC 2013 website.
Sincerely,
Francesco Marincola, MD
SITC President
